"I’m an adult learner and Tom became my tutor seven years ago. His style of teaching is very flexible, and he tailors his lessons to suit the interests of individual students. With Tom’s help and encouragement, I have achieved my goal of passing my Grade 5 piano exam and, since then, I’ve been adding some favourite classical pieces to my repertoire. Tom is always happy to adapt these where necessary to accommodate my physical limitations but I’m also currently studying composition so that I can play my own music too. He has taught my daughter for approx. 10 years, both piano & flute, and she has recently passed her Grade 6 flute exam, and was up to a similar grade with her piano before deciding to focus on flute.
