Flute Tuition
Tom's approach to flute playing is that is based on his enjoyment of making music with the instrument. As a flautist you are physically responsible for creating the music that comes from your instrument: every note is created from the air that you breathe. It's a wonderful feeling when you get it right; but it takes time and dedication to learn the skills involved. Tom will give you the tools needed to practise efficiently so to help you make continual progression in your studies.
Before the 2020 pandemic Tom followed the Associated Board examinations. However, though Tom still teaches to this syllabus, he is also expanding into the virtual syllabuses of the Trinity School of Music and the Music Teachers' Board.
If you do wish to learn the flute without following any examination syllabus then that is absolutely fine, too. Tom will work with you on a bespoke syllabus to get you enjoying playing fluently and beautifully.
