Tom's first musical directorship was for the Hornchurch Passion Play 2006; following this he organised the music for several school productions, plus leading (2006-2019) the Church Choir of St. Mary's in Tottenham.
Once again Tom led the Hornchurch Passion Play Choir and Band in both 2011 & 2015 before forming his own choral ensemble, the United Singers, in September 2015.
The United Singers has around 20 members, currently, though has grown musically and become a well-known local community ensemble. Since the 2020 Pandemic, the USCE has been producing music virtually - two albums in fact. The choir is returned to rehearsing in May 2021 and is always open to receiving new members.
In 2018, Tom "rescued" the local Hornchurch community choir, "The Can't Sing Choir" from closure. This choir was setup in 1999 and is designed to be a place for everyone who likes to sing (but maybe has been told they "can't") to come and sing!
In 2020, Tom was appointed as Director of Music for the "New Essex Choir" which is based in Barkingside, East London. This post was paused by the global pandemic but the New Essex Choir plan to return to rehearsals in July 2021.
Alongside being an experienced Choral Musical Director, Tom has also musically directed several theatrical productions.
He is particularly pleased to be appointed as Musical Director for Lennox Productions - the theatrical branch of the charity, The Lennox Childrens' Cancer Fund.
